Sampling Statement

Regardless of whether sampling has been used or not. It is a mandatory requirement for an Executive Summary to include a Sampling Statement.

A sampling statement is not a generic statement, it is a specific statement relating to the equipment on site. In the statement you must include the systems inspected and your reasons for their inclusion.

Example

For the purpose of this report, elements of the installed Air Conditioning system were inspected as part of a sampling strategy in accordance with CIBSE TM44 guidelines. The minimum sampling requirement for packaged systems in 10% or a minimum of 3 systems, which must include 1 of each manufacturer. In order to provide a comprehensive overview of the installed system, the following 5 systems were inspected:

The main office system (Hitachi) which operates on refrigerant R407C was inspected along with 2 two way single splits (Daikin) serving the meeting rooms and 2 single splits (Daikin) serving the computer room, all of which operate on R410A.
