Importantly the DCLG description includes the words ‘Full Description’ and makes reference to the type of building, its construction and the occupancy profile. This part of the executive summary needs to be specific to the building being inspected.

What should be included?

1.The type of building

2.What the building is used for (Manufacturing, Offices etc.)

3.Year the building was constructed and whether restoration or extensions have been added

4.Have any improvements been made? Double Glazing, Solar reflective Film coating on windows

5.Total floor area of the building and total conditioned floor areas can be included.
